Description
If you have Con-Cor, Robins Rails, or E&B Valley 47′ PS-2 Hoppers, and have been dreading adapting them to modern trucks and couplers, here is the kit for you. Our kit replaces the Talgo Truck bolsters supplied in these kits, and allows you to mount Accurail or similar 100t trucks and Kadee 242 “Snap” draft gear boxes. Bolsters set correct coupler NMRA Coupler Height when listed couplers and trucks are used. A end bolster has correct AB Brake set with piping.
Bolsters Kit includes A & B bolsters only.
Complete Kit includes A & B Bolsters, Kadee #5 couplers, Kadee 242 “Snap” Draft Gear Box, Accurail 70t Trucks, 33″ Metal Wheel sets, Hardware.
Select Bolsters only or Complete kit.
Instructions:
- Simply use Xuron flush cutters to remove the talgo pin, and then file down the remainder of the pin and the mold registers flush with the mounting surface with a Rifler File.
- Test fit our component.
- Use a SHARP 2-56 BOTTOMING tap to tap coupler and truck screw holes. DO NOT OVER TAP HOLE UNDER BRAKE GEAR, YOU WILL BREAK THE AB BRAKE VALVE.
- Ensure you install the brake bolster on the brake end, and the plain bolster on the B end of the car.
- Then use AC glue to secure replacement bolster insuring it’s flush all the way round the sill of the car.
