Description
When the railroads are needed to transport plate steel over 10′ wide, a rack is used inside a gondola, and the plate is carried at an angle. These racks are capable of carrying up to 16′ wide plate. Designed to fit gondolas with an actual inside width of 1.5″ (Tangent, ConCor, P2K, etc.). Racks would be bolted to the floor of the gondola, and as such, NBW detail is featured in the C Channel bases. All materials are as prototype, and are at, or near prototype dimensions.
