Description
Build this unique load for your flatcar or gondola using our fixture. Handy fixture forms the bow top cord and holds it and the bottom beam in place while you install vertical struts and diagonal ties. Fixture has alignment indicators so you aren’t measuring where those pieces are installed. Simply measure the length of the strut or diagonal tie, but them on your chopper, and glue them in place aligned with the indicators. Once you’re finished, allow the truss to dry overnight, and pop it out of the fixture. Can also be used to construct a building!
Modeler required supplies: Scale lumber (NOT INCLUDED) 6×8’s (bottom cord) 4×8’s (top cord / bow), and 2×8 (vertical struts and diagonal ties), Evergreen 0.010 x 0.040, Evergreen 0.010 x 0.100 (Gusset Plates)
**Lumber is not included, as we have no way of knowing how many trusses you intend to build.
