A similar car to it’s sisters ACMX400/401, this car was designed as a “HIGH” well-car. Stationed at their York, Penn. factory, it’s primary purpose was carrying Francis Turbine Impellers and other similar shaped objects. The car is shorter, at 41′-6″. Which translates into a smaller well length of only 18′-0″. The car was also almost a foot more narrow than 400/401. Only one of it’s type was built by General Steel Castings in Granite City, ILL. on Feb. 17th, 1958. The car went with the equipment from the York plant when Voith purchased the company, and it lasted into the 1990’s with an unknown scrap date.
Kit includes Car body, end steps, wooden end platforms, brake wheel and mast, hardware, weights, trucks with metal wheel sets, and decals.
